Get Fit or Die tryin' is my personal journey of health after a wake up call in the ER being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I weighed 385, my A1C was 9.8 and I had a hole in my foot the Doctor said was a diabetic ulcer. A year later my foot is healed, my A1C is 5.2, and my weight is 284. I made a promise to my God, Family and myself that I was gonna "Get Fit or Die Tryin'....This song is part of my journey, I still have a ways to go! With all that has happened and is happening in 2020; I hit my breaking point and I SNAPPED BACK! This track is a call to action, and a fight against injustice in America!!! I know 8 minutes and 46 seconds is a long song, but it also is a long time for a knee of an officer to be on the neck of George Floyd! I pray this song will encourage hope, and inspire change! We cannot return to business as usual. We are fighting and believing for a NEW NORMAL!!!
